I am loving simple chic choker necklaces and dark velvetine lipstick for this month. Choker necklaces can look very cliche/ grunge 90s but if you find ones that are made of different matrials such as metal, pearls, fabric etc, it can elevate a simple outfit. I would pair it with a dark matte velvetine lipstick called "wicked" from LimeCrime. If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out because it truly suits everyone! (It goes on wet but in a couple minutes dries into a matte lipstick that lasts for more than 6 hours and the best part is that you can eat with it!). I am also really into a new magazine I just picked up randomly called AdBusters, pick up their latest issue: Field Guide To Virtual Warfare.

I think Silver jewelry is good any time of the year but its even better during the colder months. I tend to wear very neutral and minimal clothing so these rings definitely add a little something to my everyday outfits. I prefer silver to gold because it works better with my skin and I also think silver gives off a classic and put together vibe on cooler skin tones. I find most of my rings from Brandy Melville or vintage stores around Queen Street.

It took me about 47 calls and hours of being on hold to find this jacket but it was so worth it! Living in Toronto you need to jump on the Canada Goose bandwagon! It’s light, versatile and most importantly for us living here, it keeps you warmer than anything! Now that it’s getting warmer you can even throw on a t-shirt and this jacket and you’ll be fine. I’ve been wearing this everywhere!

These black docs are my favourite boots! I wear them with almost everything. Most definitely my go-to-pair of shoes. Looks best with a pair of blue Levi's and a white t-shirt.

I recently purchased this "Longline High Neck Tunic Top” from ASOS. It caught my eye mainly because of the side slits (which I’m obsessed with at the moment), and I loved that it was black and was a turtleneck too. I bought it in a size up from my usual size, because I wanted to wear this piece as more of a dress than a top. It’s so versatile, and since it’s black you can pretty much pair it with anything. The lightweight, woven fabric makes it suitable for dressing it up or down.

I can envision the many ways in which this cute mesh summer halter crop top and matching shorts can be worn to compliment different personal fashion senses. For the chic-sporty chick, a splash of neon underwear and bandeau beneath can make for a perfect day in the sun. Or if you are the more vintage type, forget the mesh shorts-- mixing and matching with a pair of high waisted shorts could really add a sense of laid back edginess complimented with a vintage chunky doc martens and a Retro pair of sunglasses.

My newest statement piece of the month would definitely have to be a long necklace, much like the two pictured. It’s very rare that in my closet you’ll find a piece of clothing that’s patterned. My closet is dominated by solid colours, with a high emphasis on beiges, blues and blacks. That’s why I gravitate towards these long necklaces as they add that pop of colour to an outfit that would otherwise seem very dull and basic. Long necklaces can also add length to your neck, especially if you have a bigger build or a short neck.
